At 9am Friday morning, we grabbed the rest of the stuff we had at the hotel and went off to the airport. The flight was really short, and after an hour or so, we arrived at….
LAUNCESTON, TASMANIA!
We honestly didn’t know what to expect for the weather but thinking it was Tassy, it should have at least been cold(er than Singapore). Well to our great disappointment it was real hot. Apparently they only have days like what we experienced a couple of days a year so in a way, lucky us?
Scorching hot sun
Free and easy here so we explored the town a bit. We found a river near King's Park and it had a fantastic view, because the backdrop was a hill with many cottage-y houses. Nothing like the high rise buildings in Singapore.
We even stumbled upon Boag Brewery, one of Tasmania's famous beers! Launceston is a really quiet town, suburb-ish as the photos may suggest.. It had some really amazing sceneries as well:
We walked around so much and with the heat, we kinda felt weary and worn out by evening. So we found a superb Italian take-out place and brought back our beef ravioli and seafood pasta back to the hotel. THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. PLEASE TRY THIS PLACE!!!:
Early night on Friday!
